Amotio is revolutionising orthopaedic revision surgery through digital innovation, personalisation, and a commitment to better patient outcomes.
Our Vision
To create a world where every orthopaedic revision is safer, faster, and tailored to the individual—empowering surgeons and improving lives through cutting-edge digital planning and precision technology.
Our Mission
At Amotio, our mission is to reduce complexity in bone cement removal by combining advanced imaging, digital workflows, and 3D printing. We partner with clinicians to deliver reliable, efficient, and patient-specific solutions—raising the standard of care in revision surgery.

Key Metrics & Milestones

Transforming Outcomes, Empowering Systems
At Amotio, we believe healthcare innovation should deliver measurable value not only for patients and surgeons, but also for healthcare systems as a whole. Our patient-specific solutions are designed to ensure complex orthopaedic revision surgeries are faster, more precise, and less invasive:
- Reducing operative procedure time
- Preserving bone and reducing fractures
- Minimising complications
By supporting quicker recoveries and earlier rehabilitation, we enable patients to return to active daily living sooner. At the same time, our approach reduces hospital length of stay and eases the strain on clinical resources, directly addressing the pressures faced by modern healthcare systems.
Aligned with strategic priorities such as the UK NHS 10-Year Plan, our solutions help shift care from hospital to community, improve capacity, and deliver value-based care that empowers both patients and providers.

Our Purpose
We aim to transform orthopaedic revision surgery by building safer, faster, and personalised tools that empower surgeons and improve recovery worldwide.

“Everything we do is shaped by surgical insight and designed for real clinical impact. It’s not just innovation — it’s precision, safety, and care in action.”
— Iestyn Foster, CEO

Our Story
Amotio was born from a collaboration between orthopaedic surgeons and innovation leaders in the Netherlands and the UK. Our journey began with one question: how can we make revision surgery safer, faster, and smarter for every patient?
Combining decades of clinical experience and product design, we are developing scalable tools that align with surgical workflows and real-world needs—proven in pilot projects and supported by European innovation programmes.

Clinical Insight Meets Innovation
At Amotio, clinicians and engineers work side-by-side from day one. Our surgeon-designers help define product priorities, challenge assumptions, and co-create practical tools with a clear focus: better outcomes, less disruption, and more confidence in the OR.
We believe great design starts at the point of care. That’s why our process is grounded in real-world observation, early prototyping, and fast feedback loops.
